About Carolyn Ramp

Let me share a little about myself and who I am.

  • I graduated from Georgia Southern University with an Ed. S. in Counseling and from Augusta College with an M.Ed. in Counseling.

  • I founded my own private practice called Resolution Counseling Professionals in Augusta, Georgia and sold it in 2019 with 18 providers working with me.

  • My goal when I opened my company was to give LAPCs the opportunity to learn private practice skills. I wanted to pass on my experience to incoming professionals.

  • I’ve loved doing supervision for over 20 years and hold a credential as Approved Clinical Supervisor through NBCC as well as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with the state of Georgia.

  • My experience in the counseling profession spans over 25 years and I’m a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, A Facilitator for Love and Logic, and work with the families of the personality disordered.

  • I’ve worked for schools, agencies, and in private practice as well as an Adjunct Professor for Augusta University.

  • I’ve been the President of the Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia and served on its board for years and a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the American Mental Health Counselors Association.

  • I’m passionate about teaching the ethical codes and appropriate clinical supervision to those who are following in my footsteps and make a concerted effort to stay current with what is happening in our profession both in our state and nationally as well as politically.

But even more importantly, I have loved journeying with hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals and couples as they made change in their lives. It’s been an honor and a privilege.

I’m hoping you find the workshops I offer chock full of ideas and new techniques. As an old schoolteacher, I get to fulfil my passion for both professions by offering workshops.  My workshops are interactive and fun.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to email me with suggestions for workshops, comments about workshops you’ve attended, or for consultation to make your practice more successful. My email is Carolyn.ramp@gmail.com.
