This workshop meets the NEW requirements for RECertification as a CPCS. Due to the nature and importance of the information included, this workshop will only be held in-person. There is no virtual option.

This engaging workshop provides an overview of telesupervision practices within the evolving framework of the Counseling Compact. Attendees will be updated on the current state of the Counseling Compact, explore current regulations, and review ethical guidelines from AMHCA and Georgia’s specific rules for remote supervision. The session will address the legal and practical considerations essential for delivering effective, compliant telesupervision across state lines, especially in light of recent updates to the Counseling Compact.

As telehealth continues to grow, understanding how to ethically and legally supervise counseling remotely is vital for licensed professionals. This workshop equips mental health professionals with the knowledge to navigate recent legislative changes, ensure compliance, and provide high-quality supervision in a remote environment.

Licensed counselors, supervisors, clinical directors, and mental health professionals involved in supervision or considering implementing telesupervision will benefit from this workshop. This session is also valuable for administrators and educators seeking to stay informed about the latest developments in telehealth regulations and best practices.

This workshop offers 6 SUPERVISION (Telehealth Supervision) or 6 Core Continuing Education Credits (6 CEs) and meets the criteria for certification of the CPCS as well as the renewal of CPCS certification.
